About CBD
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-psychoactive oil that comes from the cannabis sativa (Hemp) plant. It works with your body to help heal it naturally and has a variety of benefits. To learn more about what CBD is, click here.
How does CBD work?
CBD works with your endocannabinoid system, or ECS. The ECS is the communication system in your body. Its major role is to bring balance to the nervous and immune systems. A balanced body improves cognitive performance, reduces stress, improves immune response and helps to relieve neuropathic pain. CBD works like a multivitamin for the ECS, giving your body the nutrients it needs to perform at its best. For a more in-depth look at the ECS and how CBD works, click here.
What’s the difference between hemp and marijuana?
The biggest difference between the two is the amount of THC found in the plant. The high THC content in marijuana causes it to have a psychoactive effect when it is used. Hemp has been specifically bred for its high CBD content and a low THC content. Hemp is believed to have many of the same benefits as marijuana, but without the high. For more information, click here.
How much CBD should I take? How often should I take it?
We suggest starting with a small dosage of CBD and increasing slowly until you reach your desired effect. Your ideal dosage of CBD depends on a lot of factors, including body weight, body chemistry, the condition you’re treating, and the concentration of CBD in the product you’re using. As a general rule, you can start with 1 to 3 milligrams per 10 lbs. of body weight.
Because we are all unique, the dosage of CBD needed will vary. Some may require just a few drops to bring their ECS into balance, and those with more pressing health issues may require more.
Can You Overdose On CBD?
There have been no reported overdose deaths from CBD or other hemp products. Pure CBD oil is non-toxic and has been tested in human trials in doses up to 1500mg-2000mg in a single day without significant side effects. However, there is little evidence that extra-large dosages result in substantial additional health benefits. The endocannabinoid system acts to balance the body. Once it is activated and sufficiently well-oiled, it performs its function. Since an effective dose is well below the tested limits, it’s not practical to waste money on megadosing CBD.
What are the most important factors to consider when buying CBD products?
Full Spectrum vs. Isolate: Probably the most important factor to consider when buying CBD products is whether it is a full spectrum product or an isolate. A full spectrum oil will give you Comments restricted to single page the benefits of CBD, as well as a plethora of other cannabinoids to help boost your endocannabinoid system. An isolate just contains CBD, so it lacks the benefit of the other cannabinoids in the oil with it. It’s similar to the difference between a Vitamin C pill, and a multivitamin.
Strength/Potency: Another important factor to keep in mind is how much CBD is in each bottle, and how it is absorbed by the body. You’ll want to make sure that you are getting a product that is potent enough to work for your needs, and that will help you to achieve the desired outcome.
Where the CBD was sourced: CBD, like food from a grocery store, can be farmed in a variety of ways. One thing you’ll want to watch for are hemp products that are farmed organically. Because hemp is great at absorbing nutrients from the earth, it also is great at absorbing hard metals and chemicals from pesticides used on them. Organically grown hemp greatly reduces the risk of having those extra chemicals, making it a safer option for you, and for the environment.
Preferred method of ingestion: There are plenty of ways to consume CBD oil including tincture (oral drops), gummies, creams, other types of edibles, drinks and more. When choosing a product, you want to choose which of these types of products works best for you and your needs.

Where do you source your hemp and CBD from?
We use only organic farmed hemp sourced in Kentucky, USA. This High quality hemp industrial hemp comes from high quality healthy rich soil, clean water and ethical farming. We use only industrial hemp growers with multi stage quality control at key stages of the process: farm, every master batch, and final production.
Are there any certifications for your CBD oils?
All of our oils are also non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, organically grown, and produced according to the Good Manufacturing Practices outlined by the FDA.
What type of testing is performed on your products?
Testing is incredibly important to us because we want to make sure our products are products that you can trust. We use third party lab testing to ensure that our oils are below the .3% THC level and to make sure that our products are of the highest quality. We use a third party because we want you to have full confidence that what we are reporting is verified by someone other than our company.
1. Farm-test for cannabinoid profile, THC, heavy metals, pesticides and chemicals
2. Manufacturing-all ingredients are tested for purity and safety before they are used in any products
3. Finished goods-CBD is tested to ensure that what’s on our label is accurate and safe for our customers to use. (final test for potency and safety of our finished product)
How do you extract your CBD?
We use the gold standard of CBD extraction, which is called CO2 extraction. It’s the cleanest method of extracting CBD and protects our CBD oil’s purity and prevents the loss of the naturally occurring terpenes. CO2 extraction is a solvent free extraction process using clean CO2 through a supercritical closed loop system. That’s basically a fancy way of saying that it is an ultra clean process that gets the CBD oil and the other elements that we want from the hemp, without the metals or chemicals. This helps keep our great taste and our CBD oil pure.
Are your CBD products safe?
Our CBD products are some of the safest on the market. Because we farm our hemp organically, our products are safe from heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, and organic matter likemold. In addition to this, we use a 3rd party lab to test our products to make sure it is beneath the .3% threshold for THC in the product, and to make sure there aren’t other harmful chemicals within the oil.
Do your products contain THC?
Full spectrum products often contain trace amounts of THC. The reason for this is because small amounts of THC will activate the endocannabinoid system (ECS1), making the CBD more effective within the body. Activating these receptors creates a synergistic effect, allowingthem to work in tandem to bring greater balance to the body. We test ours to make sure that it meets or exceeds the FDA regulations for THC content.
Will your CBD products cause positive results on a drug test for THC?
There are trace amounts of THC within CBD products, so there is a slight chance that it could show up positive on a drug test. If this is a concern, we suggest using broad spectrum hemp or an isolate because they do not contain THC.
Will I get high using your products?
No. CBD lacks the psychoactive component that THC does, CBD oil will not give you the euphoric high feeling that marijuana does.
The World Health Organization says that “CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential.... To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
